- If you’re new to this area, come along the previous weekend and give yourself time for some leisurely exploration so as to get familiar with the Kintyre Way and build up your reserves of energy!
- Spend a week, before or after the Relay, island-hopping: a day on Gigha, a day or two on Islay, a day on Jura, a day or two on Mull, a day on Arran, and then make your way home (or start off) via the Isle of Bute. Find out about Island Hopscotch tickets.
- Do the Kintyre Way Relay, relax on the Sunday, then take a week to meander right up the west coast of Scotland to Durness to join in the Cape Wrath Challenge (15th-21st May)
- Take your time exploring the west coast of Scotland and then choose from -
- If you’re a keen ultra-runner, join in the 53 miles Highland Fling along the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond on 30th April, then explore the West Highlands for a week until the Kintyre Way Relay.
- Go surfing or surfboarding at West Port (near Campbeltown). You can hire equipment locally.
- Stay around for the Mull of Kintyre Pipe Band Championships on 17th May.
- If you’re heading towards Fort William, don’t miss out on The Ice Factor in Kinlochleven.
